Role Overview

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is seeking a highly skilled and strategic professional to join our team as a Manager, Small Modular Reactor. This role is part of our New Nuclear Growth team, responsible for creating new business opportunities in the global SMR industry.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, strategy, and leadership, with experience in the energy sector or comparable industry. They will be responsible for supporting the growth and strategy of OPG's new SMR business, building relationships with key stakeholders, and identifying opportunities to drive revenue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business strategies to drive revenue growth in the SMR market
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including industry partners, investors, and government officials
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, joint ventures, and acquisitions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement business plans and strategies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, finance, or engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, strategy, or leadership in the energy sector or comparable industry
  • Strong understanding of SMR technology and its applications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
