About This Role

We're seeking a dynamic and strategic professional to join our team as a Senior Manager of Security Architecture at Ontario Power Generation (OPG). As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you'll play a crucial role in delivering high-quality security architecture services that meet the lowest possible cost.

Reporting to the Director of Cyber and IT Security, you'll be accountable for providing information security consulting, advice, and assistance to OPG business groups regarding secure system management, cloud, and data protection.

About the Job
  • Lead the development of a comprehensive security strategy, ensuring alignment with industry best practices, research, and technological innovations.
  • Create a framework for security architecture artifacts, including patterns, models, templates, standards, and workflows, to be adopted into corporate projects and initiatives.
  • Perform security architectural reviews and control gap assessments to mature our overall cyber security architecture practice.
  • Develop security roadmaps with a technology roadmap, instrumenting a comprehensive control framework of all security capabilities.
  • Ensure OPG's security architecture is aligned with recent threat landscape developments and technological offerings.
About You
  • You have a minimum of 8-10 years' experience in a security role, with advanced knowledge of engineering, computer sciences, and cybersecurity.
  • You possess certifications such as CISSP, SABSA, TOGAF, SANS, and Cloud certifications, demonstrating expertise in technology fundamentals across Cloud, Infrastructure, Applications, and Networks.
  • Your exceptional ability to communicate complex approaches and initiatives to stakeholders, both verbally and through presentations and written products, will enable effective collaboration and decision-making.
  • You bring experience as a security architect in various technology areas, proven expertise in security architecture practices, processes, frameworks, and strategic security planning.
