About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist II to join our team at Alberta Health Services. As a clinical leader, you will be responsible for coordinating occupational therapy and other allied health clinical services within a program or service area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide supervision of students and team members as assigned
  • Work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team, providing leadership to other healthcare professionals
  • Make day-to-day clinical decisions on patient/family needs regarding assessment, intervention, discharge and follow-up
  • Advise team members on complex clinical cases and provide clinical leadership within the program or service area
  • Ensure occupational therapy practice is evidence-based and in alignment with Alberta legislation and regulations, professional standards of practice, code of ethics and AHS policy and guidelines
  • Coordinate the day-to-day operations of an assigned service area and monitor care delivery, identifying service needs and assisting other medical staff with caseload management

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program and related experience
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT)

Compensation:

The estimated salary for this role is between $80,000 and $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
