Your responsibilities will include group therapy facilitation, participation in case conferences and staff meetings, and student education. You will also be responsible for documentation and statistical data collection.

Description:

As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide leadership and clinical expertise in the coordination of occupational therapy and allied health services. You will supervise students and team members, making day-to-day clinical decisions on patient/family needs. Your expertise will inform complex clinical cases and contribute to program development and operational planning. You will also represent our department on committees and programs, and participate in the development of our services.

Responsibilities:

• Provide consultation and assessment services to children and adolescents with complex mental health issues • Collaborate with community agencies and schools as needed • Facilitate group therapy sessions • Participate in case conferences and staff meetings • Supervise students and team members • Make day-to-day clinical decisions on patient/family needs • Inform complex clinical cases • Contribute to program development and operational planning • Represent our department on committees and programs • Participate in the development of our services

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program • Active registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT) • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or other relevant area preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a clinical leadership role • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
