Job Title: Occupational Therapist II

Alberta Health Services is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist II to join our team at the Summit Centre for Youth Resilience Day Hospital program.

About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to provide consultation and assessment services to children and adolescents with complex mental health issues and associated developmental, cognitive, and behavioral disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide consultation and assessment services to children and adolescents with complex mental health issues and associated developmental, cognitive, and behavioral disorders.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Provide group therapy and participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.
  • Supervise students and team members as assigned.
  • Ensure occupational therapy practice is evidence-based and in alignment with Alberta legislation and regulations, professional standards of practice, code of ethics, and AHS policy and guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program and related experience.
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in Occupational Therapy required; Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or other relevant area preferred.
  • Active registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
