We are seeking a skilled Protective Services Officer to join our team at a government complex in Guelph.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of people who work and visit this facility. As a Protective Services Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of everyone on site.

Our team provides opportunities for growth and development, with 30% of our frontline employees promoted to operational roles within the company. We offer a wide range of contracts, so we have a position that will suit your needs and help you achieve your goals.

The schedule for this role is Monday to Friday, from midnight to 8am.

The location is 93 Stone Road West, Guelph.

The pay rate for this position is $18 per hour.

Job Description:

  • Greet, inform, direct, and escort various users and visitors.
  • Provide assistance and evacuate the building in case of an emergency.
  • Apprehend offenders and hand them over to the authorities.
  • Detect, question, and remove undesirable individuals.
  • Control access and exit of equipment.
  • Participate in the transport or escort of valuables.

Qualifications:

  • A valid security guard license and first aid card.
  • A clear criminal background check.
  • Reliability clearance.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada.

Please note that this role requires a high level of physical fitness and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
