Job Details:
Salary: $25.353 - $27.488 per hour
Hours of Work: Days, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays; rotating shifts; 37.5 hours bi-weekly

Job Description:
The Clerical Associate will support the Inpatient Surgery Department by performing various clerical functions, including order entry into Meditech, arranging patient transportation, managing phone calls, maintaining records, and handling confidential patient information. This role requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office and keyboarding skills.

This position contributes to ensuring a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. It is essential to work collaboratively with nurses and physicians to provide exceptional patient care. The successful incumbent must maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information according to the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA).

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Medical Office Administration program certificate required
- Medical Terminology certificate required
- Current experience in a healthcare environment preferred
- Two years of current administrative support required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
- Excellent keyboarding skills and Microsoft Office experience required
- Previous experience with Meditech system modules preferred
