Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Manager to join our team at Esso Gas Station. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and train a team of 3-4 sales floor staff to ensure excellent customer service and sales performance.
    • Assign tasks and duties to team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Store Operations
    • Manage the day-to-day operations of the store, including inventory management, cash handling, and sales reporting.
    • Ensure the store is well-organized, clean, and visually appealing at all times.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service to all customers, responding to their needs and resolving any issues promptly.
    • Ensure that all customer interactions are positive and professional.
  • Sales and Merchandising
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive sales growth and increase customer loyalty.
    • Manage merchandise displays and ensure that all products are properly stocked and facing.
  • Inventory and Stock Control
    • Manage inventory levels, including ordering and receiving merchandise.
    • Conduct regular stock counts to ensure accuracy and prevent losses.
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Prepare and submit regular sales reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
    • Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Environment
    • Fast-paced retail environment with frequent customer interactions.
  • Work Setting
    • Retail service establishment with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a team environment and provide leadership and guidance to team members.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience
    • Previous retail management experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Language
    • Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
