Strategic Brand Manager for Spirits and Wines

About This RoleThis full-time position offers an estimated annual salary of $110,000 - $140,000 based on performance, experience, and qualifications.
Job DescriptionDevelop & Execute Annual Brand Plans:
The ideal candidate will develop and execute annual brand plans for each supplier to maximize sales of supplier brands to trade and consumers through effective regional planning, selling, merchandising, and communication.
- Manage and coordinate all marketing, advertising, and promotional activities, including point-of-sale displays, sales tools, and creative assets.
- Plan marketing and branding objectives to drive business growth.
- Create and facilitate marketing presentations to showcase brand strategies.
- Develop an effective A&P strategy and manage marketing budgets to optimize ROI.
- Gather and analyze customer insights and opportunities related to category positioning, trend analysis, and competitive programming.
- Build innovation launch plans, including initial order quantities, packaging requirements, product positioning, sell sheets, specs, and pricing.
- Drive brand success through leadership selling against trade channels and supporting sales efforts of sales reps, district managers, and key account managers.
- Monitor field implementation and execution of programs for assigned brands to ensure product pricing and promotion.
- Build and maintain calendars of business reviews for key portfolio partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute monthly performance reviews, including volume performance, shipments, and inventory management.
- Regularly interact with field management to update programming, brand priorities, and best practices for successful market execution.
- Provide detailed tracking reports of wholesaler performance against agreed-upon supplier objectives.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Combination of Education and Experience: A relevant degree or equivalent experience in sales, distribution, hospitality, or a supplier community.
Industry-Related Sales Experience: At least five years of industry-related sales experience, preferably within the distribution, hospitality, or supplier community.
Valid State Motor Vehicle Operator's License: Must possess a valid state motor vehicle operator's license and be able to obtain and maintain auto liability insurance.
Comprehensive Understanding of Wine and Spirits: A thorough knowledge of wine and spirits regions, varietals, product pairing techniques, production methods, and service standards.
Negotiation and Communication Skills: Strong negotiation skills, ability to create and sell innovative ideas, and excellent communication skills to interact with internal customers and diverse personality types.
Physical Demands: Regular sitting and typing, occasional walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping, with potential lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 40lbs.
