Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Youth Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will provide supervision and support to young people residing in our program, ensuring treatment plans are implemented and daily household routines are maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to youth, promoting their sense of self-worth and healthy relationships with their supports.
  • Assist with daily household routines and chores, minor facility maintenance, and direct youth support.
  • Collaborate with the team to implement treatment plans and ensure successful transitions for youth.
  • Develop and maintain strong positive relationships with youth, families, and community partners.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Must be 18-30 years old.
  • Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
  • Collaborative team player with strong organizational skills.
  • Able to adapt to changing situations and be flexible.
  • Strong communication and de-escalation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A current Alberta Intervention Record Check.
  • A current Criminal Record Check including vulnerable sector.
  • A current First Aid and CPR/AED 'C' certification.
  • A valid Class 5 driver's license with a clear driving record.
