Youth and Family Support Specialist - Exceptional Needs Program (Permanent Night)

We are currently looking for a Full-time (Permanent Night) Youth and Family Support Specialist to become part of our Exceptional Needs Program.

Position Overview
The Youth & Family Support Specialist is essential in delivering services to children, youth, and families within a regulated setting, ensuring the provision of high-quality care while emphasizing health and safety management at Wood's Homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creating and sustaining a structured environment that fosters the personal and social development of each client.
  • Actively engaging in meetings and planning sessions, along with various therapeutic duties.
  • Maintaining the living environment and ensuring program adherence to licensing regulations.
  • Carrying out tasks related to program operations, including meal preparation, cleaning, and transportation.
  • Completing any additional assigned responsibilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma or Undergraduate Degree in Social Sciences, Child and Youth Care, Social Work, Nursing, with a minimum of two to four years of relevant experience.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Experience working with young individuals is advantageous.
  • Proof of professional registration may be necessary for certain diplomas or degrees.
  • Must possess a class 5 driver's license and have access to transportation.
