This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our high-calibre team in Halifax, NS, as a Structural Contract Administrator, supporting a large-scale hospital project for at least two years. You will also be involved in the engineering side of projects and will have both office and field responsibilities. This is your chance to learn more about the structural engineering service at Entuitive.

While working remotely, you will be supported by members of our Toronto-based Contract Administration team. The successful candidate will be expected to start working in Halifax by January 2025, or earlier if possible.

Job Description

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Conducting site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with contract documents.
  • Reviewing shop drawings to guarantee adherence to contract requirements.
  • Responding to contractor inquiries to provide clarity and direction.
  • Coordinating with the design team and issuing Site Instructions.
  • Attending regular site meetings with contractors, consultants, and clients.
  • Assisting in budgeting, coordinating, and monitoring Contract Administration hours.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with contractors and clients.
  • Performing analysis and structural design when necessary.
Requirements

To succeed in this position, you will need:

  • A degree or diploma in civil engineering or a related field specializing in structures.
  • A minimum of five years' industry experience in building construction.
  • Familiarity with various contract types, including P3, design-build, and lump-sum delivery methods.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work with people at all levels, including project stakeholders and clients.
  • The capacity to manage multiple priorities and deliverables in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
  • A working knowledge of construction materials and products used in building construction, with a focus on concrete and steel.
  • Proficiency in programs such as Bluebeam, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per yearBenefits
