This is an exciting opportunity to join us in Halifax, NS, primarily supporting a large-scale hospital project for a minimum of two years. You will work remotely, but will be supported by our Toronto-based Contract Administration team. We offer flexible working hours and a 37.5 hour work week, as well as opportunities for growth through mentoring and training.
As a Senior Structural Contract Specialist, your key responsibilities will include conducting field reviews, reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFI's from contractors, coordinating with the design team, and attending site meetings. You will also assist in budgeting, coordinating, and monitoring Contract Administration hours, and develop strong relationships with contractors and clients.
To succeed in this role, you will need a degree or diploma in civil engineering or a related field, with a minimum of five years' industry experience in building construction. You should have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to work with people at all levels. You should also be able to manage multiple priorities and deliverables in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
You will be working with construction materials and products used in building construction, with a focus on concrete and steel. You should have a working knowledge of programs including Bluebeam, Microsoft Word, and Excel, and a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
In return for your expertise and dedication, we offer a competitive salary of $85,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance premiums for employees and their dependents. You will also be eligible for our discretionary profit-sharing plan and RRSP matching up to 5%.
