Program Coordinator for Seniors Technology Initiatives

At CultureLink Settlement and Community Services, we are seeking a skilled Program Coordinator to lead our New Horizon (SOARing) Program. This initiative serves and engages low-income and/or racialized seniors in using technology to access information on healthy aging, financial security, and prevention of senior abuse.

The ideal candidate must be proficient with technology and online tools, able to support clients, and maintain positive relationships with partners and colleagues. They will be responsible for developing, overseeing, and implementing activities designed for seniors to lead other seniors in using technology.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with diverse communities and make a meaningful impact on the lives of seniors. If you are passionate about social services, have excellent group facilitation skills, and are proficient in MS Office and various social media tools, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement program activities for seniors to use technology and access information on healthy aging and financial security
  • Maintain positive relationships with partners and colleagues
  • Recruit and coordinate youth volunteers as Digital Coaches for seniors
  • Create a welcoming environment for all seniors, promoting inclusivity, equity, and diversity
  • Ensure program deliverables and targets are achieved
  • Collaborate with other CultureLink internal programs to ensure seniors receive appropriate services
  • Organize registration and logistics for program activities

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Services or related field, with a minimum of 2 years experience working with newcomer/racialized seniors
  • Strong program design and implementation skills, with experience in designing creative programs for target populations
  • Dynamic group facilitation skills and solid knowledge of Anti-Oppressive framework
  • Proficient in MS Office and various social media tools
  • Adequate organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple tasks

CultureLink Settlement and Community Services is a settlement and community organization dedicated to supporting diverse communities. We work within an anti-oppression framework and are committed to equity. This is a bargaining unit position.

Estimated Salary: $18,000 - $20,000 per year, based on the title, job description, and location. The salary range may vary depending on experience and qualifications.
