Position Summary

Responsible for planning, developing, and implementing the delivery of initiatives and programs that advance the corporation’s vision of creating healthy engaged communities through resident engagement. To lead and manage the development of productive partnerships with various levels of government, educational institutions, community agencies, the private sector, and funders.

**Responsibilities**:
Leadership
- Manages unionized and non-unionized staff and ensures optimal staffing levels are maintained.
- Leads staff to meet key performance indicators, service standards, unit wide outcomes, business processes and reporting requirements and takes corrective action when needed.
- Ensures staff are compliant with documentation standards and confidentiality is maintained in accordance with applicable legislation, corporate policies and procedures, collective agreements.
- Coaches and trains staff ensuring effective teamwork, high standards of work quality and organizational performance, and continuous learning.
- In collaboration with People and Culture, contributes to the resolution of labour relations matters including discipline, grievances, and union partner relationship management.
- Manages and ensures effective and efficient use of resources.
- Prepares/monitors unit budget and funding tied to special projects.
- Approves expenditures.
- Participates in project-based initiatives and provides leadership of change management activities relating to operational service delivery.
- Lead regional tenant meeting with tenants.
- Coordinate STAC meetings with senior staff and the City.
- Ensure collaboration between regional operations team members and CPP team to support strong tenant and partner relations.

Partnership Development and Program Delivery
- Builds and maintains productive relationships with various levels of government, educational institutions, community agencies, the private sector, and funders to ensure effective partnerships, and coordinate resources to effectively address issues that impact the ability of seniors to age at home, tenant engagement, violence reduction, access to medical professionals, an social/recreational programming.
- In collaboration with the Operations teams, assists in the development of multi-stakeholder engagement plans to resolve community issues related to aging at home.
- Acts as a liaison among local staff, community partners, elected officials, tenants and others.
- Ensures the consistent and timely roll out of programs.
- Participates in the negotiation for external supplemental funding to support new and on-going programs and initiatives for TSHC tenants.
- Intervenes, as required, to investigate community services breakdowns; develops options and mitigation strategies to address and rectify issues.
- Works with provincial, municipal, and local funders to determine new program needs and objectives and develop responses and programs accordingly.
- Provides oversight on partnership agreements ensuring alignment with TSHC’s strategic priorities.
- Provide oversight of the volunteer management program.
- Operational oversight of CAF and Community Connect+
- Manage vendor relations with the support of Procurement team.
- Engages tenants and contributes to a positive tenant experience through effective, respectful and compassionate tenant interactions with a focus on high customer service.

Partnership Oversight and Evaluation
- Reviews and analyzes monthly/quarterly reports to ensure external partners are in compliance with agreements.
