About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our team at the Teraanga Commons Dining Hall on Carleton University campus. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with passionate culinary leaders and gain exposure to a wide range of cultural cuisines.

The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality food, sometimes in front of the customer at action stations, and will require strong customer service skills to provide an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook food following recipes for a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Ensure adherence to recipes to meet any dietary requirements and maintain consistent quality, preparation, and presentation of food.
  • Take culinary lead on the floor within the location and assist with controlling waste and spoilage.
  • Maintain continual cleaning and sanitizing of surrounding work area and ensure adherence to all of Aramark Policies and Procedures.
About You
  • You have experience in the Culinary field and knowledge of food, sanitization, and health and safety standards.
  • You possess excellent communication skills, ability to prioritize tasks, problem-solving skills, planning, and organizing skills.
  • You enjoy working with others in a team setting and are able to multitask effectively.
