The Red Dot Cafe is seeking an Executive Chef Team Leader to join their culinary team. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a talented team of chefs and cooks in delivering exceptional dining experiences.

About the Role

As an Executive Chef Team Leader, you will be responsible for supervising activities, managing kitchen operations, and overseeing menu planning and execution. You will work closely with the management team to ensure seamless service delivery and maintain high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

This is a permanent position with 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and demonstrate excellent leadership and communication skills. The salary for this role is estimated at $50,000-$60,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and motivate a team of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff to deliver exceptional food quality and presentation
  • Plan and execute menus, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, creativity, and nutritional value
  • Lead by example, demonstrating new cooking techniques, equipment usage, and culinary best practices to team members
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, ensuring timely and cost-effective ordering
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement new ideas, initiatives, and training programs
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Culinary Arts or related field
  • At least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience as a chef or in a related role
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and maintain high standards of quality and customer satisfaction
