Senior Manager, Diversity and Inclusion

Emera Inc is seeking a Senior Manager, Diversity and Inclusion to join our Corporate Human Resources team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving the company's diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategy and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with the Director, DEI to develop and implement the company's DEI strategy and roadmap.
- Collaborate with Human Resource peers to embed DEI principles and practices across all aspects of our people strategy.
- Participate in the Global DEI council and corporate DEI network to share best practices and stay up-to-date on industry trends.
- Design and coordinate opportunities to celebrate and learn more about diversity, and build our fluency in inclusive practices.
- Build internal and external relationships to champion a culture of psychological safety and support the company's DEI objectives.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A minimum of 7 years of HR or related experience, with recent experience working in the area of DEI.
- Demonstrable cross-cultural awareness and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
- Post-secondary education in a related field or relevant experience.
- Experience in developing, promoting, and educating successful DEI strategic plans and processes across a diverse employee population.
- Proven ability to create and implement organizational strategic plans, with a focus on process improvements.
