Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Manager to lead our IT Application Support and Compliance team at the Royal Bank of Canada. This role will be based in Bedford, Canada.

About the Role

The successful candidate will oversee the production, operations, and release management support teams that manage a portfolio of 10 AML IT applications built on various platforms. They will work closely with stakeholders to ensure service level agreement commitments are met, regulatory deadlines are respected, and end-users are minimally impacted.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Production, Operations, and Release Management Support teams to optimize application performance and minimize disruptions.
  • Ensure timely issue resolution, ongoing status communications, and drive continuous improvement of systems.
  • Identify gaps in documentation and communicate/escalate service level commitments to relevant parties.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess strong organization and communication skills, as well as the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and define resolution paths. Experience with main industry databases, SQL environments, and window/unix environments is also essential.
