The Government of Nova Scotia is seeking a highly skilled Policy and Engagement Coordinator to join our team in the Office of Equity and Anti-Racism. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of policies and initiatives that promote equity and anti-racism in Nova Scotia.
Primary AccountabilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating projects and activities related to policy and engagement, working closely with the Policy and Planning team to advance equity and anti-racism initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing engagement plans and materials, and coordinating logistical arrangements for engagements.
- Conducting analysis on input from engagements to inform policy options.
- Conducting research and preparing summary briefing reports on emerging policy and engagement issues.
- Supporting project management in the office by reviewing project documentation and ensuring all deliverables are complete and archived.
- Coordinating and preparing documentation, meeting minutes, communications, and reports for approval.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as policy, research methods, or project management. They will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The successful candidate will also have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
