About Our Opportunity

The Policy Analyst (Research and Statistical Officer 3) will contribute to the development and implementation of equity and anti-racism initiatives in Nova Scotia, including those related to the Dismantling Racism and Hate Act, Nova Scotia's Equity and Anti-Racism Strategy, and the 2SLGBTQIA+ Action Plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis to inform policy development and implementation.
  • Develop and analyze policy options, making recommendations to senior management.
  • Provide project management and support to designated projects and initiatives.
  • Prepare and coordinate briefing materials and briefing binders for the minister, Deputy, and Premier.
Qualifications and Experience

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Policy Analyst with a Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as project management, policy, or research methods. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated understanding of equity and anti-racism concepts, thorough knowledge of the public policy development process, and experience in policy analysis and project management.
