Policy Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Policy Intern in the Safety Branch of the Department of Labour, Skills and Immigration. As a Policy Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in policy analysis, research, and coordination.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research and analysis on complex policy issues related to occupational health and safety and technical safety acts.
- Support the development of briefing notes, policy options papers, presentations to senior leadership, and other policy-related documents.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to define problems, identify solutions, and develop policy recommendations.
- Contribute to the development of documents, reports, and submissions to senior leadership.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle competing priorities and deliver high-quality products.
- Strong research and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in policy analysis, research, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
