About the Opportunity

The Government of Nova Scotia is seeking a highly skilled Policy Coordinator to join our team in Halifax. As a key member of our Court Services Division, you will be responsible for policy formulation, development, implementation, and compliance monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in policy development, implementation, and monitoring, identifying policy requirements and formulating policy change.
  • Oversee ongoing staff training to ensure policies and procedures align with legislation and are consistently applied.
  • Ensure the uniform application of policies, procedures, and operational standards, providing guidance to the Court Services Management Team and other divisional staff.
  • Develop and implement strategic and business plans, performance indicators, and electronic tracking processes for accountability reporting.
  • Conduct operational audits and make recommendations to address deficiencies.
  • Contribute to the ongoing relevance and appropriateness of Court Services Division operations by ensuring amendments to legislation are properly reflected in policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a University Degree in a related discipline with several years of justice experience. Demonstrated experience in policy analysis and development is essential, along with organizational development, project management, and change management skills.

Pay Grade: EC 10 Salary Range: $63,590 - $83,590 Bi-Weekly
