About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a passion for education and leadership to join our team as a Perioperative Clinical Nurse Educator Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and delivering educational programs that meet the needs of our nurses and patients. You will work closely with our clinical teams to identify areas of improvement and develop strategies to enhance patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Determine education priorities that meet clinical and learner needs
  • Develop and revise educational programs based on clinical evidence, policy, and education theory
  • Create supportive and interprofessional learning environments
  • Deliver learner-centered education to individual or groups of staff and patients
  • Evaluate education program effectiveness by measuring outcomes and assessing whether learning has occurred
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
  • Three (3) years of recent related clinical experience in the designated clinical area, including one (1) year of education and/or leadership experience
  • Valid BC Driver's License and access to personal vehicle for business-related purposes

The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000 - $115,000 CAD, depending on experience.
