Job Title: Food and Beverage Operations Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Food and Beverage Operations Manager to join our team at Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food and beverage outlets, ensuring exceptional guest service, and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example, motivating employees and directing the organization of the food and beverage outlet to create a passion for consistent service.
  • Ensure effective leadership, training, development, coaching, and performance management of employees, selecting the right leaders and placing them in the right roles.
  • Implement and maintain high standards of guest service, ensuring consistency throughout the team.
  • Manage daily payroll, ensuring it aligns with daily covers, revenues, and forecasted productivities.
  • Build and maintain a positive work environment, fostering employee relationships that lead to high employee satisfaction.
  • Ensure a clean and well-maintained work environment, emphasizing employee health and safety.
  • Provide on-floor leadership and resources to ensure team members are set up for success.
  • Maintain open communication with all departments, passing information to employees.
  • Create incentive programs, monthly food and beverage promotions, and continuous improvement ideas for the existing incentive program.
  • Involve the Restaurant Management team to ensure accurate employee performance reviews are completed by anniversary dates.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of hotel food and beverage leadership experience.
  • Extensive knowledge in all areas of F&B service.
  • A passion for food, wine, and exceptional guest service.
  • Post-secondary education in Hospitality Management an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a high level of motivation, energy, enthusiasm, decisiveness, creativity, and flair.
  • Proven leadership, administrative, and staff development skills.
  • Flexibility to work as business volumes dictate.
  • Computer literacy, with a preference for individuals with strong knowledge of Micros 9700 and Opera.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to build and maintain positive working relationships with all co-workers and external candidates.
  • Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced changing environment.
  • Having vision and the ability to lead employees consistently to achieve goals.
