Job Title: Business Development Manager - Automation

Job Summary:

3M is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager - Automation to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and advancing sales opportunities for IATD's automation-related product platforms, resulting in sales growth for these new product programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop, and close new automation-related sales opportunities to achieve Automation sales targets
  • Drive sales adoption of Automation new product programs, including the System, On Demand Bonding System featuring VHBTM Extrudable Tape, and RoboTapeTM System for 3MTM Tape
  • Collaborate with key members of IATD Bonding Automation Network (Nordson, RT, Kuka, Fanuc, etc.) and other members, including integrators and equipment suppliers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of five (5) years of sales or marketing experience in a private, public, government, or military environment
  • Current, valid Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced experience and knowledge with tape and adhesive products
  • Experience with automation and advanced manufacturing technologies
  • Sales specialist or key account selling experience
  • Experience working with external partners to help mutual customers
  • Ability to work as an influencer, stakeholder, leader, or team member with other sales reps
  • Track-record of new business development
  • Relationship builder with a competitive nature
  • Experience and comfort presenting to customers, including corner office executives
  • Well organized, self-starter, process driven, with the ability to prioritize
  • Cross-functional 3M experience
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM and PowerBi Reporting

Work Location: Remote

Travel: May include up to 50% domestic travel
