Job Description

**Project Engineer - Infrastructure Development**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our team at Tk'emlúps te Secwépemc. As a key member of our infrastructure development team, you will be responsible for managing the development and implementation of capital projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the planning, construction, and maintenance of water, sanitary, and storm sewer systems.
  • Undertake engineering studies and ensure that studies are conducted by qualified consultants.
  • Support project concept development by preparing feasibility studies, construction plans, and cost estimates.
  • Coordinate community consultation events and engagement.
  • Oversee all aspects of projects, including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring progress.
  • Ensure deliverables meet project scope and budget.
  • Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demands to plan and assess project feasibility.
  • Prepare project grant funding submissions and monitor progress.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in civil engineering, project management, or a related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or equivalent certification.
  • Knowledge of construction, appraisal, feasibility analysis, community consultation, and municipal development approval processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing demands simultaneously.
  • Effective communication, leadership, time-management, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, cost control, and resource management.
