Job Description

Job Title: Project Engineer - Infrastructure Development

Job Summary: Tk'emlúps te Secwépemc is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the development and implementation of capital projects, ensuring that community projects are completed successfully on time, on budget, and in accordance with TteS objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Infrastructure Planning and Development: Undertake the planning, construction management, installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of TteS infrastructure.
  • Project Management: Oversee all aspects of projects, including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, monitoring and summarizing progress, and preparing reports for leadership.
  • Grant Funding and Coordination: Prepare project grant funding submissions and monitor the progress of submissions through to approval.
  • Construction Support Services: Manage project workflow, monitor progress, and make adjustments as needed.
  • Information Management: Assist in the implementation and continuing development of TteS Asset Management Program.
Requirements:
  • Education: A Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Registration: Ability to Register with Engineers & Geoscientists British Columbia.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of related experience in Civil Engineering setting in either consulting, construction or government.
  • Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or equivalent certification is an asset.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Effective Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate team members.
  • Time Management: Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Working Conditions: Normal day shifts - 7 hours. Non-normal shifts may be required.

Pay Grade: Starting at $52.75/hour depending on experience.
