Your work will contribute to the implementation of Canada's Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP), fostering relationships that respect Indigenous rights.

Role Overview

The Project Engineer will report directly to the Planning & Engineering Manager and will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and management of capital projects. This role is crucial in ensuring that community initiatives are completed efficiently, on schedule, and within budgetary constraints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Infrastructure Management: Lead the planning, construction, and maintenance of essential infrastructure, including water, sewer, and road systems.
  • Project Coordination: Manage all phases of project development, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and community needs.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate community consultations and maintain open lines of communication with all project stakeholders.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project records and prepare regular updates for leadership regarding project status.
Qualifications
  • A degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Registration eligibility with Engineers & Geoscientists British Columbia.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in civil engineering, project management, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of municipal development processes and community consultation practices.
Skills and Competencies
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in project management and budgeting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
