Job Summary

The Government of Alberta is seeking a Senior Indigenous Health Policy Specialist to join the Indigenous Health Division – Indigenous Health Policy and Planning Branch.

The successful candidate will provide leadership and strategic advice on Indigenous health initiatives, with a focus on improving health outcomes for Indigenous peoples.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and support strategic projects and initiatives associated with the Indigenous MAPS initiative.
  • Conduct analysis to identify trends, issues, and challenges impacting Indigenous peoples' access to primary health care services.
  • Support policy development teams and collaborate with cross-Divisional and cross-Ministry stakeholders.
  • Lead implementation on complex and multi-stakeholder projects.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess expert-level knowledge of Indigenous health issues, policies, and protocols, as well as excellent project management and leadership skills.
