Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and collaborative individual to join our team as an Indigenous Engagement Specialist. The successful candidate will have experience in fostering relationships and engaging Indigenous communities, with a strong understanding of land management, resource development, and Indigenous consultation policies.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead or co-lead Crown-led projects and initiatives focused on Indigenous engagement.
  • Facilitate active Indigenous involvement in land use plans, policies, and resource development.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, Elders, and government staff.
  • Provide guidance on engagement protocols for First Nations and Métis communities.
  • Utilize strong evaluative and critical thinking skills to develop evidence-based recommendations.
  • Communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
