About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Operations System Damages Representative. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of data and information that supports the creation of damage claim invoices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Invoice Preparation and Review: Prepare timely and accurate billing to customers, ensuring that all supporting information is accurate and complete.
  • Claims Processing: Process claims related work orders and notifications, maintaining data integrity and ensuring compliance with company procedures.
  • Customer Communication: Respond to internal and external customer inquiries, providing timely and professional communication.
  • Damage Claim Resolution: Work with managers and supervisors to resolve customer disputes, creating supporting documentation and applying discounts where required.
  • Recovery and Adjustments: Pursue recoveries from damages incurred on FortisBC assets and adjust claims against FortisBC.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with others to gather claim information, communicate with claimants, employees, and external agencies as needed.
  • Administrative Duties: Perform administrative tasks such as scanning documents, preparing and mailing letters or emails, and performing other duties as required.
Requirements
  • Education: High school graduation plus a minimum of a post-secondary education certificate from a recognized institution in a legal field.
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years directly related, relevant work experience, typically gained through an Operation Support Representative 3 position or an insurance and claims work environment.
  • Skills: Strong customer service and communication skills, sound organizational skills, and fast and accurate keyboarding skills.
  • Knowledge: Working knowledge of computer systems operations, environment, and peripherals, as well as sound working knowledge of various applications software in use in the department.
