Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Business Partner to join our team. This role will be responsible for partnering with business stakeholders, ensuring operational objectives are met, and developing strategic solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Champion the development and implementation of the People Strategy and Strategic Plan for Human Resources, supporting the business's goals.
  • Ensure HR Cycle adherence by executing key milestones such as compensation, annual leadership review, engagement employee survey, and skills development.
  • Participate in ongoing HR initiatives and projects to enhance HR services to the business, including workforce planning management.
  • Translate current and future business needs into an integrated strategic HR plan, delivering measurable results.
  • Manage daily HR transactions and provide HRBP support, advice, and counsel to Directors and their direct reports.
  • Collaborate with management on communication of departmental objectives, development, and implementation of policies and initiatives.
  • Plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, initiatives, and surveys to support human resource compliance and strategy needs.
  • Develop processes and metrics that support business goals, generate HR reports, and analytics to inform decision-making and identify trends.
Labour Relations Responsibilities
  • Manage complex employee and labour relations issues, conducting effective investigations and interpreting collective agreements.
  • Partner with business leaders to provide coaching on managing employees, both unionized and non-unionized, and maintain knowledge of multiple business units' operations.
  • Thoroughly understand employment-related laws and regulations, applying them appropriately to guide decision-making.
  • Implement labour relations processes and provide day-to-day guidance to line management and production operators through presence on the production floor.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in HR management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Proven experience working in a labour environment with a union-represented employee population.
  • Proficiency in MS Suite and web-based applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, adapting communication to suit various audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving, leadership, and negotiation skills, influencing decision-making processes and outcomes.
  • Able to lead and inspire change, implementing changes effectively.
  • Team player with project management skills, handling multiple demanding clients simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to work independently, organizing tasks to meet deadlines under pressure.
Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $160,000 per year
