About the Role

The Business Administrator provides exceptional member experience by delivering personalized service, promoting credit union products and services, and offering administrative support to the Business Lending team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with members and potential members, responding to inquiries and providing information on credit union products and services.
  • Resolve member issues and concerns, escalating complex matters to the appropriate team or department.
  • Refer members to relevant staff members and departments as needed.
  • Manage business memberships and accounts, setting up online banking and troubleshooting.
  • Administer specialized accounts, such as estates for businesses, property management companies, and lawyer and real estate trusts.
  • Act as the member point of contact for CAFT.
  • Prepare bank confirmations and assist with credit card applications.
  • Solicit new members and foster business development through service excellence, product knowledge, and teamwork.
  • Provide administrative support and assistance to the Business Loan department.
  • Process reports and documentation efficiently and accurately, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Maintain open communication and cooperation with other staff to ensure a friendly and efficient work environment.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of and adherence to credit union policies and procedures on risk management, confidentiality, security, and fraud prevention.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
  • Business Administration or other post-secondary education would be considered an asset.
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Demonstrated desire to serve others in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Ability to identify and act upon sales and service opportunities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Attention to detail with high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform well under pressure.
  • Ability to prioritize using sound judgment to make timely and effective decisions.
  • Knowledge of Access Credit Union's products and services.
  • Ability to follow standardized policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of risk management within the financial industry.
  • Proficient computer skills.
