About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team at Osmow's Shawarma. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization, and implement procedures to maintain high standards.
  • Team Leadership: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Inventory Management: Order supplies and equipment, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Clean kitchen and work areas, and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Operations Management: Manage kitchen operations, including supervising staff, managing inventory, and maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and working under pressure.
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, excellent oral communication, initiative, and team player.
