Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist to join our team in the Primary Health Care department. As a Physiotherapist - Chronic Pain Management Specialist, you will play a crucial role in helping patients manage their chronic pain and improve their overall well-being.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient. You will utilize evidence-based practice guidelines, behavior change methods, and client-centered approaches to deliver high-quality care.

  • Develop and lead exercise programs for patients with chronic pain, focusing on improving physical function and reducing symptoms.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support patients in managing their chronic pain.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and optimal outcomes.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patients' needs and develop targeted interventions.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's degree in physiotherapy from an accredited university.
  • Membership with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists.
  • Eligibility for membership with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
  • At least one year of experience working with patients with chronic pain in a primary health care setting.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for travel to various sites.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $33.96 - $42.89 per hour. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
