Physiotherapist - Rehabilitation Specialist

Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist to join our Rehabilitation Services team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with various conditions, including actual or potential impairment, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities.
Working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, you will provide service in outpatient, inpatient, and community settings. Your excellent interpersonal and written communication skills will enable you to effectively educate and communicate with other health disciplines, the general public, family members, and caregivers.
As a Physiotherapist, you will also provide supervision and evaluation of physiotherapy students and supervision of assistants. With your strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently, you will be responsible for making informed decisions regarding patient care.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or entry-level master's program in Physiotherapy from an accredited university. You will also require membership with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists (Provincial licensing body) and computer skills, including statistics input, word processing, and Outlook.

About YouWe are seeking a Physiotherapist who possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You will be a strong problem-solver with the ability to work independently and make informed decisions regarding patient care.
- Competencies in other languages are an asset, with French preferred.
- A strong understanding of the principles of physiotherapy and the ability to apply them in a clinical setting.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- A high level of professionalism, with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care and service.
This is a full-time long-assignment position, working 75 hours biweekly. The approximate duration of the assignment is 15 months.
Compensation and IncentivesThe hourly rate for this position is $42.89. Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
