About the Opportunity

Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in a community-based setting. As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide consultation, assessment, treatment, and follow-up services to patients and families in the occupational performance areas of self-care, productivity, and leisure.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans that address the unique needs of each patient. You will provide evidence-based interventions to facilitate, restore, and maintain clients' optimal level of function, and work closely with primary health care teams, chronic disease management teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care coordination.

We are looking for a highly motivated and compassionate individual with a strong commitment to person-centered care. The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution, be licensed with the College of Occupational Therapists of Nova Scotia, and have at least one year of related experience. Experience in community-based settings, chronic pain management, and individual and group education is an asset.

About the Role
  • Provide consultation, assessment, treatment, and follow-up services to patients and families
