We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Coordinator to join our team at the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA). As a Program Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting the Forensic Sexual Offence Program within the Forensic Regional Clinics.
Key Responsibilities:- Receive and screen pre-sentence referrals, court-ordered assessment referrals, and Forensic Sex Offender Program referrals by reviewing documents, checking for completeness, and obtaining missing information.
- Work with Regional Clinic Leads to prioritize work and coordinate workflow of pre-sentence and court-ordered assessments.
- Create, compile, and track documents such as program evaluation, research data, general reports, and statistical information.
- Maintain housing data, record needs, and communicate gaps in housing occupancy to the Regional Clinic Manager.
- Participate in committees and working groups related to court assessments, provincial forensic sex offender program, and housing initiatives.
- Attend, schedule, and coordinate meetings, in-services, and other events.
- Grade 12, graduation from a recognized secretarial program, including a recognized course in medical transcription, and five years' recent, related experience, including one year in a supervisory capacity.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Ability to supervise.
- Ability to organize work.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
- Commitment to develop knowledge and understanding of legislative obligations and provincial commitments found in the foundational documents.
