Program Coordinator Role Overview
BC Mental Health and Substance Use Services is seeking a highly skilled Program Coordinator to support the Forensic Sexual Offence Program within the Forensic Regional Clinics.
Key Responsibilities
- Screen and process referrals, ensuring completeness and compliance with established protocols and Blackwell MOU.
- Coordinate workflow and prioritize tasks with Regional Clinic Leads, utilizing clinician availability calendars and established criteria.
- Compile and track documents, including program evaluations, research data, and reports, to support Regional Clinical Managers in decision-making.
- Maintain housing data and communicate gaps to Regional Clinic Manager, collaborating with regional clinic staff and community housing partners.
- Participate in committees and working groups related to court assessments, provincial forensic sex offender program, and housing initiatives.
- Attend and coordinate meetings, in-services, and events, taking minutes and drafting reports as required.
Requirements
- Grade 12 and a recognized secretarial program, including medical transcription, with five years' recent experience, including one year in a supervisory capacity.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to supervise and organize work.
- Commitment to developing knowledge of legislative obligations and provincial commitments, including Truth & Reconciliation Commission's Calls to Action and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act.
