Program Coordinator, FSP Provincial Programs, Minimum and Medium Security Units

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Coordinator to join our team at the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA). This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality services to individuals with complex mental health and substance use challenges.
Job Summary:The Program Coordinator will provide administrative support to the Forensic Sexual Offence Program, working closely with the Regional Clinic Leads and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of the program. This includes coordinating workflow, prioritizing tasks, and maintaining accurate records and statistics.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate and prioritize work to ensure efficient and effective program delivery
- Develop and maintain accurate records and statistics to support program evaluation and decision-making
- Collaborate with Regional Clinic Leads and other stakeholders to ensure seamless program operation
- Provide administrative support to the program, including scheduling, data entry, and document preparation
- Participate in committees and working groups related to court assessments, provincial forensic sex offender program, and housing initiatives
- Attend and coordinate meetings, in-services, and other events as required
- Grade 12, graduation from a recognized secretarial program, including a recognized course in medical transcription, and five years' recent, related experience, including one year in a supervisory capacity, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to deal with others effectively
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position

- Commitment to develop knowledge and understanding of legislative obligations and provincial commitments found in the foundational documents, including Truth & Reconciliation Commission's Calls to Action (2015), In Plain Sight (2020), BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019), United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP), Reclaiming Power and Place Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women & Girls Calls for Justice (2019), the Declaration Act Action Plan, and Remembering Keegan: A First Nations Case Study
