Psychologist Assistant, Minimum and Medium Security Units

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Psychologist Assistant to join our team in the Minimum and Medium Security Units. As a Psychologist Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting the Forensic Psychologist in administering and scoring psychological tests, providing behavioral descriptions, and preparing records and reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and score standardized psychological tests, including MMPI-2, MCMI-IV, WAIS-IV, WMS-IV, CVLT-II, and WCST.
- Provide verbal and written descriptions of client behavior during testing, including observations of affect, motivation, and response to failure and success.
- Administer specialized forensic assessment measures as directed by the Forensic Psychologist to assess risk and treatment needs.
- Prepare and maintain records, reports, and charts according to established procedures.
- Participate in educational meetings, forensic psychology staff meetings, and treatment team conferences.
- Participate in research activities, including literature reviews, research applications, and funding submissions.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.
- Recognized training and/or experience in administering a wide variety of psychodiagnostic tests.
- Specialized academic course and experience in forensic psychology, including risk assessment and risk management.
- Valid BC Driver's License.
