About the Role

The Event Setup and Tear Down Specialist is responsible for ensuring the venue is prepared and maintained to the highest standards for events. This involves setting up and tearing down the venue, including moving and placing tables, chairs, decorations, and other items as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and set up the venue according to the event plan and client requests, ensuring all details are met.
  • Ensure the venue is 100% set for the next event if you are the last person/team to leave before a breakfast event.
  • Lead other staff members to ensure setup is done efficiently and effectively.
  • Lift and move heavy and light objects in a safe and timely manner.
  • Tear down the venue after an event and ensure it is clear and maintained to O&B standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the venue.
  • Comply with and act in accordance with Health and Safety regulations.
  • Receive and sign off on materials and shipments from clients and couriers, and notify a manager each time.
  • Meet, greet, and escort clients from the loading dock, offering assistance as necessary.
  • Additional duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a variable workload, ensuring safe, timely, and accurate completion of assigned work.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to listen and follow clear directions.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Available to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and/or occasional overnight shifts.
  • Dependable and goal-oriented.
