Job Summary

The Porter is a key member of our team at Aera, responsible for setting up, tearing down, and transporting products throughout the restaurant. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and clean environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and set up the venue according to plan and guest requests, ensuring all details are met.
  • Ensure the venue is 100% set for the next event, if required.
  • Lead other staff members to ensure efficient and effective setup.
  • Lift and move heavy and light objects in a safe and timely manner.
  • Tear down the venue after an event and maintain it to O&B standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the venue.
  • Comply with and act in accordance with Health and Safety regulations.
  • Receive and sign off on materials and shipments from clients and couriers, and notify a manager each time.
  • Additional duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a variable workload.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to listen and follow clear directions.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Available to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and/or occasional overnight shifts.
  • Dependable and goal-oriented.
