Job Summary

The Porter is a key member of our team at Aera, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant. This includes setting up and tearing down products, transporting items, and maintaining the organization and upkeep of the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and set up the venue according to the set plan and guests' requests, ensuring that every detail is met.
  • Ensure the venue is 100% set for the next event, if required.
  • Lead other staff members to ensure the setup is being done efficiently and effectively.
  • Lift and move both heavy and light objects in a safe and timely manner.
  • Tear down the venue after an event and ensure it is clear and maintained to O&B standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the venue.
  • Comply with and act in accordance with Health and Safety regulations.
  • Receive and sign off on materials and shipments from clients and couriers, and let a manager know each time.
  • Additional duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a variable workload, ensuring safe, timely, and accurate completion of assigned work.
  • Able to work independently, and part of a team.
  • Able to listen and follow clear directions.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Available to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and/or occasional overnight shifts.
  • Dependable and goal-oriented.
