Control Systems Operations Specialist

Overview:
The Control Systems Operations Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the secure and efficient functioning of control systems applications and information networks within the refinery. This position is vital for supporting various teams in executing critical tasks related to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) management, including asset oversight and equipment surveillance. The specialist is tasked with safeguarding essential business information, ensuring its availability and integrity to facilitate strategic corporate planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Formulate recommendations for design modifications, enhancements, and operational optimizations to promote growth, reliability, and automation while ensuring the effective management of control system applications. Lead system upgrades as sanctioned through the Management of Change (MOC) process, overseeing vendor interactions, testing, and installation coordination. Serve as the primary technical liaison with third-party vendors, advocating for the company's application management needs while collaborating with refinery teams to translate requirements into actionable projects. Implement and enhance cybersecurity measures, manage patching, and ensure compliance with established policies and best practices. Configure and maintain databases and repositories for automation systems, ensuring the collection and archival of plant historian data for future analysis. Facilitate data interfacing through communication servers to enable third-party applications to function effectively. Develop and maintain backup strategies that meet identified requirements, ensuring thorough validation and testing practices are in place. Create a reliability strategy to manage system life cycles, ensuring optimal performance and timely upgrades to new technologies. Conduct preventive maintenance to guarantee uninterrupted operations and suggest performance enhancements.Required Skills:

NBSCETT PTech Certification is advantageous. 5-10 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 5 years in an industrial setting, preferably in refining.Job Requirements:
