Control Systems Technician

Position Overview: As a Control Systems Technician, your primary responsibilities will include the installation, upkeep, examination, testing, calibration, and repair of various measuring and control instruments utilized in industrial operations. You will be required to interpret and adhere to technical drawings and specifications while utilizing a range of tools including power, pneumatic, electronic, and manual equipment.
Work Environment: This role may involve working in confined spaces or at elevated heights, and you should be prepared for potentially noisy conditions. Tasks may be performed both indoors and outdoors, often in extreme temperature conditions.

Qualifications:
- Completion of a 4-Year Apprenticeship in the trade, leading to Journeyperson Certification, or proof of at least 6,120 hours of relevant experience.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in industrial construction, maintenance, fabrication, or repair, with preference given to candidates with offshore experience.
- Journeypersons must demonstrate proficiency in their respective trade.
- Possession of the following Offshore Certificates and Training is advantageous: Basic Survival Training (BST) including HUET and HUEBA, Rigging, Slinging, and Banksman, Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S) Alive, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS 2015), Offshore Safety Regulatory Awareness, Fall Protection, Confined Space Entry, and Emergency First Aid.

Physical Requirements:
- Must successfully complete a site-specific drug and alcohol test and CAPP Medical as required.
- Ability to safely lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Possess sufficient strength and stamina to perform essential technical duties.
- Capability to navigate and work in confined spaces while adhering to safety protocols.
- Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, performing physical labor in varying environmental conditions, with potential for overtime.
- Ability to climb and maintain balance on stairs, ladders, scaffolds, and steel frameworks, utilizing appropriate fall protection measures.
- Meet the physical demands of frequent walking, climbing, standing, bending, twisting, and crawling throughout the shift.
