This position is vital for supporting various teams in executing critical tasks related to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) management, including asset oversight and equipment monitoring. The specialist is tasked with safeguarding business-critical information, ensuring its availability and integrity to facilitate corporate strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Formulate recommendations for design modifications and enhancements to improve operational efficiency and reliability of control system applications. Lead system upgrades as per the Management of Change (MOC) protocol, managing vendor interactions, overseeing testing, and coordinating installations. Serve as the primary technical liaison with third-party vendors, advocating for the company's application management needs and collaborating with refinery teams to translate requirements into actionable projects. Implement cybersecurity measures and strengthen system configurations while managing patching and validation processes to comply with established policies. Configure and oversee automation systems databases, ensuring the collection and archival of plant historian data for future analysis. Facilitate data interfacing through communication servers to enable third-party applications to function effectively. Develop and maintain backup strategies that meet identified requirements, ensuring compliance with validation and testing standards. Create a reliability plan to manage system life cycles, ensuring optimal performance and timely technological upgrades. Conduct preventive maintenance to guarantee uninterrupted operations and suggest enhancements for overall system performance.Required Skills:
Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. Excellent time management and multitasking capabilities. Proven ability to contribute effectively within a collaborative team setting. Robust troubleshooting and critical thinking skills, with the ability to adapt focus based on operational needs.Preferred Experience:
NBSCETT PTech Certification is advantageous. 5-10 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 5 years in an industrial setting, preferably in refining.Job Requirements:
Focused on Information Technology and Engineering disciplines.
Educational Background:
Undergraduate degree in a relevant field.
