Pest Control Training Specialist
Position Overview:
The Pest Control Training Specialist will not only fulfill regular service responsibilities but will also be instrumental in delivering hands-on training and mentorship for newly hired Pest Specialists.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Training New Pest Specialists – Facilitate on-the-job training for new employees during their initial 6 weeks, ensuring the completion of weekly training checklists.
- Mentorship for New Pest Specialists – Conduct weekly evaluations and monthly gatherings with new hires throughout their first year, maintaining thorough documentation for records.
- Successful completion of Rentokil Initial Field Training Certification Program (with biannual recertification).
Additional Responsibilities:
As Pest Control Training Specialist (Weeks 1-6 of Trainee's Program):
- Conduct ride-alongs with job candidates during the selection process.
- Arrive punctually and well-prepared for training sessions.
- Effectively impart skills and provide constructive feedback promptly.
- Maintain weekly communication with the Trainee's Supervisor.
- Conduct weekly assessments and sign off on training checklists.
As Mentor (Weeks 6 to 1 Year of Trainee's Program):
- Establish a strong working relationship with the Trainee.
- Be accessible via phone or text to address Trainee inquiries.
- Guide the Trainee in setting expectations as they navigate through various training phases.
- Assist in the Trainee's transition to a productive employee.
- Report any concerns or issues to the Trainee's Supervisor.
*The Pest Control Training Specialist must be designated as the Primary Mentor; the Trainee must remain employed for a minimum of 1 year + 1 day.
Qualifications:
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience with Rentokil Initial as a Pest Specialist.
- Fully trained according to the Rentokil Initial Career Advancement Program (Career Level 4 or 5).
- Possess the appropriate state/province applicator license and categories.
- Favorable evaluations from the most recent Annual Performance Review.
- Exhibit professionalism in conduct.
