Regional Support Specialist

The Regional Support Specialist will play a crucial role in delivering technical assistance to key Culligan clients across a designated territory. This includes providing troubleshooting support, conducting training on products and water technologies, generating quality reports, assisting with commercial and industrial projects, facilitating product field evaluations, and addressing customer satisfaction concerns. Key clients encompass franchise dealerships, industrial end-users, national accounts, mechanical contractors, and retail product partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regularly report on the technical support provided in the region along with travel-related expenses.
  • Organize and lead product training sessions and seminars for dealership personnel, including service, sales, and administrative staff.
  • Coordinate and conduct periodic Household Service Training Schools within the region.
  • Facilitate Commercial Service Training Schools at designated headquarters or other assigned locations.
  • Deliver on-site product support, oversee installations, and provide operator training on Culligan's commercial and industrial offerings.
  • Offer regional assistance for product field testing by engaging dealers and ensuring participation.
  • Engage in two-way communication regarding product and service information between distribution channels and Culligan's Product Development and Quality Assurance teams.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager, Commercial Dealer Support, and Commercial & Market Development teams to identify and support sales growth opportunities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required; a college or technical degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the water treatment sector.
  • Experience as a classroom instructor or educator is highly valued.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to interpret reference materials such as tables and charts.
  • Capability to read and comprehend plumbing, piping, and electrical wiring schematics.
  • Good mechanical aptitude is essential; ability to identify causes of failure in water treatment system components is required. Experience in troubleshooting basic electrical circuits using handheld meters is beneficial.
